Break Even Consulting has supported the Municipality of Mandra-Eidyllia in the design and construction of sanitation infrastructure, ensuring the safe disposal of wastewater in the municipality’s residential areas.
The environmentally safe management of wastewater in the area of the Workers’ Housing Complexes of the Municipality of Mandra-Eidyllia is expected to provide multiple benefits to daily life and the financial activities of local residents, as well as to improve their quality of life.
Description
The proposed projects for the Municipality of Folegandros include:
- Sewerage network study for the settlement of Agkali, Folegandros Island.
- Water supply network study for the Chora settlement of Folegandros Island.
- Hydraulic study for the supply and installation of a wastewater pumping station with a capacity of 600 m³/day in Chora, Folegandros Island.
Solution
Within the framework of the project “Sewerage Network Study for the Settlement of Agkali, Folegandros Island”, the proposed works are:
- A pipeline network with a total length of 600.00 m, of which 450.00 m concern a wastewater collection network (gravity pipelines) and 150.00 m concern a wastewater transfer network (pressurized pipelines).
- 50 private connection waiting points for connecting residences to the new wastewater pipelines.
- Prefabricated underground pumping station with a circular cross-section and a diameter of 1.50 m.
- Compact Prefabricated Wastewater Treatment Unit (WWTP) for approximately 400 Population Equivalent (P.E.).
Within the framework of the project “Water Supply Network Study for the Chora Settlement of Folegandros Island”, the proposed works are:
- Water distribution pipeline network with a total length of 3,200 m.
- A reservoir with a useful capacity of 1,000 m³, located near the heliport. The existing reservoir supplying the settlement will be discontinued once the desalination unit serving the new reservoir becomes operational.
Within the framework of the project “Hydraulic Study for the Supply and Installation of a Wastewater Pumping Station with a Capacity of 600 m³/day in Chora, Folegandros Island”, the proposed works are:
- Drilling of a new production borehole with a minimum flow rate of 80 m³/h.
- Three (3) pumping units.
- New external underwater pipelines with a total length of 3,500 m.
