Break Even Consulting is preparing a Water Footprint Report for the Campari Hellas plant in Volos and supports Campari Hellas in the Development of a Sustainable Water Management Strategy. The water footprint is a key tool for our company’s sustainability, as it captures water consumption across all stages of our operations. It measures both the volume of water used directly and indirectly, as well as the burden on aquatic ecosystems, identifying opportunities for reduction in consumption and improved efficiency
Description
The project includes mapping water consumption points and quantifying their use, in order to assess the overall water footprint of the Campari Hellas plant and identify areas with the greatest environmental impact and water consumption in the production process and plant operations.
Internationally recognized methodologies are used to calculate the Water Footprint:
- ISO 14046: Water Footprint Assessment
- Water Footprint Network (WFN) methodology
During the project, and based on the results of the water footprint assessment, an appropriate sustainable water management strategy is developed, creating a short-term and long-term plan to improve the plant’s water efficiency, prioritizing interventions according to their impact and quantifying their effects.
The sustainable water management strategy includes:
- Prioritized interventions, ensuring their effective implementation and providing quantified opportunities for footprint reduction.
- Best practices from the beverage industry and customized solutions tailored to the plant’s needs.
- Clear guidelines and objectives with measurable results and recommendations for future actions.
