Break Even Consulting has supported the Municipality of Serres in the development of sewerage infrastructure and the modernization of the WWTP through a series of studies involving wastewater collection, the modernization of pumping stations, the wastewater treatment plant and the safe disposal of treated wastewater into appropriate receiving bodies. The need to ensure the proper operation of the Livadia Serres Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and the safe disposal of treated wastewater into an appropriate receiving body is evident. This will contribute to the environmental improvement of the area, increase the safety of the services provided and improve the health of residents and visitors.

Description

Regarding the sewerage and WWTP modernization projects studied for the Municipality of Serres, the Company has successfully completed the following:

  • Hydraulic Study for the replacement of the main sewerage pipeline of Livadia, Serres.
  • Electromechanical Study for the modernization of the wastewater pumping stations of Livadia, Serres.
  • Electromechanical Study for the upgrade and modernization of the Livadia Serres Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
  • Hydraulic Study for the project “Treated Wastewater Disposal Pipeline of the Serres WWTP”.

Solution

Within the framework of the project “Hydraulic Study for the replacement of the main sewerage pipeline of Livadia, Serres”, the proposed works are:

  • New network with a total length of 2,800 m.

Within the framework of the project “Electromechanical Study for the modernization of the wastewater pumping stations of Livadia, Serres”, the proposed works are:

  • Structural and electromechanical interventions for their modernization.

Within the framework of the project “Electromechanical Study for the upgrade and modernization of the Livadia Serres Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP)”, the proposed works are:

  • New wastewater treatment facility operating with the activated sludge method and specifically with a biological nutrient removal system.

Within the framework of the project “Hydraulic Study for the Treated Wastewater Disposal Pipeline of the Serres WWTP”, the proposed works are:

  • The onshore section of the disposal pipeline consists of polyethylene pipes.
  • Underwater section of the disposal pipeline with a total length of 70.00 m.
