Break Even Consulting, as a leading consulting and engineering company in the field of biomass utilization, in collaboration with the engineering and construction company Biogest, successfully completed the construction of a biogas production plant for REC Oil Anaykiosi S.A. in Rhodes. The plant has a capacity to process 20,000 tonnes of waste annually, while its total electrical power output amounts to 500 kW.
Description
The biogas production plant will use organic waste to produce renewable energy in the form of biogas. Through anaerobic digestion, organic waste, such as agricultural residues and food waste, will be converted into biogas, providing a clean and renewable source of energy. The plant’s 0.5 MW capacity will significantly contribute to Rhodes’ energy mix, reducing dependence on fossil fuels and limiting greenhouse gas emissions. |
Solution
Break Even Consulting, through the successful monitoring and commissioning of the project and by utilizing the latest biogas production technology, achieved the financial and environmental sustainability of the 0.5 MW plant in Rhodes.
