ETBA Industrial Areas S.A. has supported the design of modern waste treatment systems within industrial area infrastructure, aimed at replacing existing systems that are reaching the end of their operational life, as well as designing new units for waste treatment.
Through the operation of the new modern waste treatment units, ETBA Industrial Areas S.A. ensures both economic and environmental benefits by enabling services to be provided to a greater number of businesses.
Waste Treatment Units (WTUs)
The eight (8) Industrial Areas in which Waste Treatment Unit projects were studied are:

- Lamia Industrial Area
- Patras Industrial Area
- Kavala Industrial Area
- Florina Industrial Area
- Lamia Industrial Area
- Alexandroupolis Industrial Area
Description
Στα πλαίσια του σχεδιασμού σύγχρονων συστημάτων Μονάδων Καθαρισμού Αποβλήτων η Εταιρεία μας ακολούθησε την κάτωθι μεθοδολογία:
- Analysis of the existing condition of the Waste Treatment Unit infrastructure, including assessment and identification of issues related to the existing infrastructure.
- Investigation of alternative options for the modernization, improvement and/or replacement of Waste Treatment Units.
- Preparation of technical proposals for the design of Waste Treatment Units.
Solution
Under the contract entitled “Provision of Technical Consultant Services on issues related to the expansion, modernization and upgrading of sewerage infrastructure (Sewage Networks & Waste Treatment Units) in Industrial Areas of ETBA Industrial Areas S.A.”, the following works were carried out:
- Upgrade of electrical equipment in 4 Industrial Areas
- Replacement of the electricity distribution network in 5 Industrial Areas
- Replacement of electromechanical (E/M) equipment in 2 Industrial Areas
