Break Even Consulting actively supports the Hellenic Olympic Committee (HOC) in its commitment to becoming more sustainable and reducing its carbon footprint. In particular, the Company supports the HOC in the proper implementation of its Emissions Reduction Action Plan and the adoption of sustainable energy-saving actions, with priority given to energy efficiency. In parallel, Break Even Consulting provides advisory support services to the HOC with the aim of strengthening its sustainability.
Description
In order for the Committee to reduce its environmental impact and greenhouse gas emissions resulting from its activities, it has developed an Action Plan consisting of 19 customised actions covering four key areas: the operation of its facilities, transportation, procurement of equipment and waste management.
Solution
Break Even Consulting supports the Committee in implementing these actions through services including:
- Strengthening proper waste collection and management.
- Adoption of energy-saving practices.
- Development of a green procurement policy.
- Training and awareness-raising activities for staff on energy saving and the adoption of sustainable practices.
In parallel, as the Committee’s Sustainability Consultant, Break Even Consulting provides advisory support services to the HOC with the aim of strengthening its sustainability. The objective is to ensure the HOC’s full compliance with environmental legislation and the requirements of the International Olympic Committee, as well as its alignment with the Olympic Agenda 2020+5.
