Break Even Consulting has undertaken the three-year support of Med Frigo S.A. and Cargo Med S.A., aiming to ensure their compliance with the requirements of the National Climate Law (Law 4936/2022) concerning companies operating in the supply chain (3PL).
Description
Break Even Consulting has prepared Carbon Footprint Reports for Med Frigo S.A. and Cargo Med S.A., with 2022 as the reference year. These reports were prepared in the context of the obligation of both companies to record and certify their carbon footprint, in accordance with the requirements of Article 20 of the Law, and to define future actions to be implemented in the coming years with the aim of reducing their carbon footprint.
Med Frigo S.A. is responsible for the management of refrigerated facilities throughout the country, while Cargo Med S.A. manages a large fleet of trucks for the transport of sensitive products from Greece abroad.
The carbon footprint reports of both companies were prepared in accordance with ISO 14064-1:2018 and include the carbon footprint of their activities, taking into account all their intra-company operations, with 2022 as the reference year.
Solution
Through the carbon footprint reports, voluntary targets and actions were established to reduce the emissions of both companies, which are intended to be implemented by the companies in the coming period.
The results of the reports were verified by an independent certified body, and both companies received certificates validating the results of the reports.
Break Even Consulting supported both companies throughout all stages of carbon footprint calculation and verification. The collaboration between Break Even Consulting and Med Frigo S.A. and Cargo Med S.A. is expected to continue in the coming years, ensuring their compliance with the requirements of the National Climate Law.
