Break Even Consulting has undertaken the assessment of the carbon footprint for all facilities and infrastructure of Panteion University, in compliance with the requirements of Law 4936/2022 and ISO 14064.
The purpose of the carbon footprint assessment is to identify and prioritise strategic actions for energy savings, fuel efficiency and resource optimisation, in order to enhance environmental protection while safeguarding society and the public interest, taking into account the University’s buildings, facilities and operational needs.
Description
Overall, the direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions resulting from the University’s carbon footprint were calculated, using 2022 as the base year. As part of the assessment, the buildings and infrastructure were recorded and categorised, and indicators were calculated per surface area and per capita.
